On Saturday 17 November, 2007, Maureen Anne Delafeld and Andy Robinson presented a cheque for £2, 025 to Orchid Cancer Appeal. David Parris, Chairman of Martock Parish Council, accepted the cheque on behalf of Orchid.
This was an amazing amount to have raised and we extend our thanks and gratitude to everyone who has been involved with the Bower Hinton Bike Ride. The final total raised even exceeded this amount! Click here for details.
Together with the presentation of the cheque, the evening included musical entertainment, with Andy and Maureen Anne reprising their duets of ‘Something Stupid’ and ‘Things’. There was also a raffle, an Auction Of Promises that included a grass cut, two hours of ironing and an overnight stay in Cornwall together with a set by local band Badger.
